What do you desire in life? Do you truly desire a relationship with God or do you only desire the things God can give to you?
Do you know that whatever you truly desire you’re always willing to make sacrifices for it? Think about it. If you desire to earn a college degree, you will make certain sacrifices to help you achieve that goal. You will sacrifice your time and your money to attend school, do the homework assignments, purchase the necessary books, pay for the college courses, and sometimes even relocate to another place, all to help you earn your degree. That’s one of many examples. Oftentimes, we are willing to make sacrifices because we are expecting something great to happen as a result of our sacrifice. In other words, we are expecting a great return on our investment.
Do you know that out of all the things you desire in life, there is no greater investment than the Kingdom of God? Why? Because no one can reward you as richly as God can! He is the ultimate rewarder! And when we begin to think like Him, we will be able to tap into the Kingdom of God that’s living on the inside of us.
You may be thinking the Kingdom of God is Heaven
However, the Kingdom of God is not a place. In a few places in the Bible (Matthew 6:33; Matthew 3:1; Mark 1:14; Luke 4:43; Luke 17:20), we see the Kingdom of God defined as:
The power of God being demonstrated through us
The rule and reign of Jesus on Earth. Jesus’ Spirit is in us and on us. Therefore, we also rule and reign on Earth.
A way of thinking; to think like Christ
The Kingdom of God brings blessings and favor to those who choose to live their lives subjected to the ways of God.
When Jesus died, He left us His Spirit, The Holy Spirit. If you are a born again believer, then the Holy Spirit is living on the inside of you! John 14, describes the Holy Spirit as our Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby. The Holy Spirit even prays to God on our behalf!
Oftentimes, because of religious teaching we do not realize the power that’s living on the inside of us. God wants us to operate in His power and blessings now, here on Earth. We don’t have to wait until we get to the sweet bye and bye, Heaven, to live a good life. When we tap into the kingdom of God, everywhere we go, God’s anointing, which is His burden removing, yoke destroying, power will flow through our lives!
So how do we get the power of God operating in our lives?
We must put God first in our hearts and in all things. We must die to ourselves by trusting, depending and relying on the power of God, to unleash the power that’s in us. When we seek God first, all the things we desire will be given to us.
We must operate in the love of God and run from gossip, envy and hate. Hate is the power extinguisher and will prevent God from operating in our lives. Allow the love of God to operate in you. Godly love seeks to give the advantage and not take the advantage.
We must think like God! The true power of God is in the way that we think! The way that we think is developed by what we choose to put before our eyes and ears, and what we allow to come out of our mouths!
We must say the right words! Our words are powerful and create our reality! The Holy Spirit is activated by what we say. We must speak life! Say what God says and believe what he says.
Child of God, it is time to get on the winning side of life by tapping into the Kingdom of God that’s living on the inside of you! When God is your true desire, your life will be far more than you can ever ask, dream or even imagine!
